

ViaCool
“ViaCool” is a biological preservative that prevents the occurrence of self-heating processes, the so-called “burning” effect of finished silage, as well as the formation of mold fungi and yeast. Heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria contained in this preparation quickly stabilize the fermentation process of the ensiled mass and improve its stability after opening the silage trench.
“ViaCool” is tested by the German Food Industry Institute (DLG). It has been proven in numerous experiments that increasing the productivity of animals and improving taste characteristics. “ViaC00l” was awarded a quality mark by the German Agricultural Association DLG in category 2 – improvement of aerobic stability (preservation after opening of silage trenches).
Field of use
Biological preservative “ViaCool” is recommended for harvesting:
– Corn silage;
– Cereal grass silage (35–50% DM);
– Silage from whole-grain plants (milk-wax maturity);
– Corn Cob Mix/corn cob mix;
Advantages of the drug
– Prevents undesirable processes of fermentation and self-heating of silage;
– Improves the aerobic stability of the silage after opening the trench;
– Prevents the development of molds and yeasts, while increasing the energy nutrition of feed;
– Prevents loss of dry matter and feed energy;
– Stabilizes natural lactic acid fermentation.
Dosage:
2.4 g/t of mass to be ensiled is recommended for harvesting corn silage, silage of cereal plants. A package weighing 600 g is enough to harvest 250 tons of silage.
Preparation of working solution
The contents of the “ViaCool” package are first dissolved with constant stirring in 0.5–2 liters of water. Dilute the prepared mixture in 62.5–250 liters of water, after which the preservative is ready for use. It is recommended to apply the drug with special applicators, which are installed on the forage harvesting equipment, ensuring its uniform distribution in the ensiled mass. The finished solution is suitable for 4 days when stored in the refrigerator.
